Types of Membership

Our network of member institutions is a core component of the ECOG-ACRIN Cancer Research Group (ECOG-ACRIN). The flexible structure of our membership program has resulted in a large network of nearly 1400 member institutions that provides substantial capabilities for the Group to carry out innovative research, whether in the form of a small focused study in one location or a large-scale population-based trial across multiple institutions.

Membership Categories

  • Main - Standing and Scientific: institutions with sustained research involvement
  • Affiliate: institutions sponsored by a Main Member or Special Participant Member
  • Sub-Affiliate: health care practices usually under a parent Member
  • Special Participant: institutions that participate in select activities
