Research Support Committees
Many Group members and staff with a deep knowledge of Group policy and clinical investigation participate in administrative and research support committees. Though not primary drivers of a scientific agenda, they nonetheless mold and support that agenda in various ways that contribute to the Group's overall scientific output. Members participate in the Group’s three scientific programs: Biomarker Sciences, Therapeutic Studies, and Cancer Control and Outcomes. They facilitate cross-committee communication and provide specialized expertise as members discuss the state of the science and plan new clinical trials. These committees ensure that individuals across multiple disciplines have opportunities to work together in areas of common interest.
Nationally prominent subject matter experts chair these committees, which meet monthly or more frequently outside the semi-annual group meetings. Listed alphabetically below are the research support committees and their leadership.
