Imaging Diagnostics and Biomarker Committee
The Imaging Diagnostics and Biomarker Committee is a newly formed group in the ECOG-ACRIN Cancer Research Group (ECOG-ACRIN). This committee is part of the Biomarker Sciences Program, which supports the research activities of the Therapeutic Studies Program and Cancer Control and Outcomes Program.
This committee is the hub for imaging and biomarker scientists within the Group. It provides a venue for investigators to coordinate Group-wide research strategies and to address common issues across the various scientific and disease-oriented committees. It contains several areas of specialty:
- Experimental Imaging Subcommittee
- Immuno-Imaging Subcommittee
- Quantitative Imaging Working Group
Notably, this committee is leading the landmark TMIST mammography trial, which seeks to personalize breast cancer screening.
This committee is the result of a recent restructuring of the Biomarker Sciences Program. The committee leadership is shown below, and a description of the research activities is in development.
