Career Advancement
The Task Force on Career Advancement was established to increase the representation of early- and mid-career investigators across the ECOG-ACRIN Cancer Research Group (ECOG-ACRIN). Its members work to improve the process for advancement in the Group at every stage, through a lens of opportunity.
Among its goals:
- Ensure that early- and mid-career investigators feel included and supported, have clear pathways to leadership roles, and appointments are made
- Pursue parity in ECOG-ACRIN leadership, membership, and scientific activities
- Facilitate active mentorship and sponsorship from committee chairs and principal investigators
The long-term goal of the task force is to safeguard a level playing field on which all members of ECOG-ACRIN feel included and have the opportunity to develop into the leaders of the future. The Task Force initiated the Remarkable Mentor to Women in Oncology Award in early 2023.
