Research Cores

The ECOG-ACRIN Cancer Research Group (ECOG-ACRIN) contains multiple translational science resources, which are fully integrated with the Group's three scientific programs: Therapeutic Studies, Biomarker Sciences, and Cancer Control and Outcomes. ECOG-ACRIN maintains several translational science committees and programs, recognizing the value of translational science to catalyze interactions between the Group and the broader scientific community to take on significant challenges in cancer research.

The Group maintains various biospecimen and imaging repositories with associated clinical data contributed by patients who participate in clinical trials. Underpinning these resources is the ECOG-ACRIN Central Biorepository and Pathology Facility. These resources are extensive and are linked by a laboratory Sample Tracking System. There is close collaboration with the American College of Radiology for the Imaging Core Laboratory. The Group's scientific resources extend to two translational science research centers in leukemia and thoracic cancer.

This section of the website contains descriptions and contact information for the research core facilities and translational science centers.
