The ECOG-ACRIN Cancer Research Group is leading the trial, a role that involves coordinating the development of the trial design, supporting its study leadership (see below), selecting and vetting the mammography clinics, and guiding them as they complete training and activate the study. As the sites move through the study process, ECOG-ACRIN provides biostatistical and data management, auditing, radiologic monitoring and quality control. The Group also oversees the submission of images, biospecimens, and clinical data on study participants, and supports sites with recruitment and public awareness.
